Huey Lewis is an actor, singer, and songwriter. For his band, Huey Lewis and the News, he sings lead and plays harmonica, as well as composing or co-writing many of the band's songs. Hues learned to play the harmonica while traveling across the country to New York City and while waiting for rides. His distinctive voice has a deep, textured sound that works well with not just their hits, but also the show's wide range of other tunes. Lewis said in April 2018 that he was suffering from Ménière's disease-related hearing loss and canceled all planned tour dates.
