Gary England is a former chief meteorologist for KWTV, a CBS-affiliated television station in Oklahoma City. England was the first on-air meteorologist to use a commercial Doppler weather radar to warn viewers of a probable tornado.
He is also credited with helping to develop the First Warning map image, which is widely used to provide continuous weather alerts without interfering with regular programming.
