About G Love Solo
G Love Solo Biography
Dutton, the child of a financial legal counselor, was conceived in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia and started playing guitar at age eight. He composed his first melody when he was in the ninth grade and started playing the harmonica in a wire rack. Dutton credits Bob Dylan and John Hammond Jr., just as the then-contemporary "old school" hip-bounce hints of Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, and Philadelphia's own Schoolly D, as impacts. Dutton, who went to secondary school at the private Germantown Friends School, started playing solo in the city of Philadelphia. Following one year at Skidmore College, Dutton exited and migrated to Boston, functioning as a pledge drive for Peace Action and playing any place and at whatever point he could. Not long after moving to Boston Garrett met neighborhood maker Tom DeMille (later nicknamed T-Time by Garrett due to Tom's double love for music and golf). Tom had draped a flyer at the nearby music store 'Daddy's Junky Music' talking about his craving to join blues impacts (like Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Little Walter, and so forth) with current music to make another sound, which obviously is actually what Garrett was doing. At first, Garrett was focussed on recording early forms of tunes like Yea It's That Easy and This Ain't living which consolidated road impacts with exemplary blues instrumentation. Early versions were ordinarily Dobro guitar over an exemplary mid-1990s HipHop beat and sponsored by synth bass and keys played by T-Time. In 1992 Garrett and T-Time both understood that neither of them was especially acceptable at programming great drum tracks and Garrett started searching for help around there. One of his couple of indoor gigs right now was a Boston bar called The Tam O'Shanter (a Boston foundation which was ready to go until 2018), where he met drummer Jeffrey "The Houseman" Clemens in January 1993. Dutton and Clemens started filling in as a team, they were joined a couple of months after the fact by bassist Jim "Jimi Jazz" Prescott and turned into the house band on Mondays at The Plow and Stars in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
