Foxygen and Star Power is the Los Angeles songwriting couple of 24-year-olds Sam France and Jonathan Rado. In May 2011, France and Rado anxiously gave off a CD-R of this handcrafted little creation Take the Kids Off Broadway (Jagjaguwar, 2012) to the maker and visionary Richard Swift after his presentation in a Lower East Side club.
The team, who had quite recently blended and copied the circle that very evening, had been fans of Swift's untouchable pop oeuvre since secondary school when they initially started recording their own pubescent raids into crackpot rock n' move (At least twelve records were done before they graduated secondary school).
