Since July 2000, he has served on the Board of Directors, and he has served as Chairman since May 2007. He is also a World Bank Group Global Climate Leader and Co-Chair of the group's Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition's High Level Assembly.
Feike Sijbesma (Dutch) earned a degree in Medical Biology from the University of Utrecht and a master's degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University in Rotterdam (both in the Netherlands). In 1987, he joined Gist-brocades' Industrial Pharmaceuticals branch, where he was in charge of strategic planning and commercial growth.
