American businesswoman and academic, Erika H. James is first woman and the first African-American to lead the business school. She is the dean of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. James was named the John H. Harland Dean of Emory University's Goizueta Business School in 2005.
At the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, she served as senior associate dean for executive education serving at Emory University. She was the first associate dean of diversity and also introduced the Women's Leadership Program At Darden. James is well known for her workplace diversity and crisis leadership research.
