Now based in Melbourne, Australia, her journey began in Boston, Massachusetts, where she overcame a traumatic childhood, filled with abuse, the foster care system, and a bipolar mother’s instability. 

At the age of 17, she joined the Army and married her high school sweetheart, only to be widowed at 24, when a drunk driving accident left her with a shattered back. She struggled with alcoholism and toxic relationships that led her to head to Australia in search of a fresh start in 2009. Her healing process culminated in marrying her trainer and starting a family, and now she is the mother of two boys.
