Ebony Frelix Biography

Ebony Frelix leads programs and strategic grants focused on education and workforce development as the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy & Engagement at Salesforce.org, where she is responsible for engaging more than 25,000 employees in community service opportunities, as well as administering millions of dollars in grants to improve communities around the world. Ebony and her team have achieved meaningful results internationally with their work in the areas of education and workforce development. Locally, she has led partnerships with San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) and Oakland Unified School District (OUSD). Since 2013, Salesforce.org has given $22.5 million dollars and adopted 21 schools, as well as provided teacher training, technology and infrastructure to Bay Area schools in need. The partnership with SFUSD led the district to become the first in the nation to require computer science curriculum to all students from pre-K to 12th grade. Ebony was recognized as one of San Francisco Business Times’ Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business, as well as one of San Francisco Business Times’ Beyond the Check award recipient two years in a row, for her accomplishments at Salesgorce.org and honored with the 2016 Rising Star Award. She is a member of the Workforce Investment San Francisco Board and the Year Up Bay Area Advisory Board. Before joining Salesforce.org in 2014, Ebony spent five years in Salesforce’s technology division as the head of technology business operations. She also spent eleven years managing technology at Washington Mutual before Salesforce. From Golden Gate University, Ebony holds a bachelor’s degree in computer and information sciences.
