Dr. Chris Ashworth grew up in Charleston after being born in Russellville, Arkansas. He majored in Dairy Science at Louisiana State University Baton Rouge. In 1987, he graduated from Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. He subsequently did an internship in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
After that, he went on to finish a three-year residency in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Ashworth works at ELANCO ANIMAL HEALTH as a Dairy Technical Consultant. He resides in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and is in charge of dealing with dairies in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, and Colorado. Dr.
