Born in Dumbarton, Scotland, Actor Dayton Callie who was in his late 30s at the time, made his acting debut in “Preppies” (1984), a low budget film. His acting journey began with small roles on TV series like “Falcon Crest” (CBS, 1981-1990), “Kate & Allie” (CBS, 1984-89) and “Beauty and the Beast” (CBS, 1987-90). He starred in other successful movies in the following decade such as “Volcano” (1997) and “To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar” (1995). With major appearances in “NYPD Blue”(ABC, 1993-2005), a recurring role in “Roswell” (The WB/UPN, 1999-2002) and “Seinfeld” (NBC, 1989-1997). Callie's highest role till date is playing Wild Bill Hickok's associate Charlie Utter in “Deadwood” (HBO, 2004-06). This outstanding performance led to many unforgettable guest appearances in a recurring role in “John From Cincinnati” (HBO, 2007) and a three-episode story arc in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (CBS, 2000-2015). In the biker drama “Sons of Anarchy” (FX, 2008-2014) he played a major role as Chief Wayne, voiced a character in animated comedy “Archer”(FX, 2009) and starred in the horror movie “Halloween II” (2009).
