In the discipline of triathlon, Dave Scott is the most well-known athlete and coach. He is the inaugural entrant into the Ironman Hall of Fame and a six-time Ironman World Champion. Dave's triathlon career began in 1976 when the sport was first introduced.
In 1980, he became the first Hawaiian Ironman to win, and he went on to win in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, and 1987. In 1993, he was named the inaugural entrant into the Ironman Hall of Fame for his achievements in the sport.
