Darren Ellisor is a veteran of the United States Air Force and a First Officer with Southwest Airlines. Ellisor was the First Officer aboard Southwest Airlines Flight 1380, which made an emergency landing in Philadelphia on April 17, 2018, after an engine failed, breaking through a window and partially dragging one passenger outside the plane.
He successfully landed the jet, which was carrying 149 people. Ellisor has worked as a pilot for almost 25 years. He spent four years at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs before serving in the Air Force for ten years.
