Bryan Voltaggio was born April 19, 1976 and is an American chef residing in Urbana, Maryland. He received an AOS in culinary arts from The Culinary Institute of America and was mentored by chef Charlie Palmer. Voltaggio was the runner-up of the sixth season of Top Chef, Bravos cooking competition show, placing second to his brother, Michael Voltaggio.
Voltaggio is co-owner and executive chef of Volt Restaurant in Frederick, Maryland, which received a James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant in 2009. Hilda Staples, Frederick resident, co-owns Volt with Bryan.
