Bryan Alexander is a well-known futurist, researcher, writer, lecturer, consultant, and teacher who focuses on how technology is transforming education. In 1997, he received his PhD in English language and literature from the University of Michigan, with a dissertation on doppelgangers in Romantic-era fiction and poetry. At Centenary College of Louisiana, he taught literature, writing, multimedia, and information technology studies.
He also pioneered multi-campus multidisciplinary programs there, as well as an information literacy project. He worked at the National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education (NITLE) from 2002 to 2014, a non-profit that helps small schools and universities better integrate digital technology.
