Anthony Evans is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at Florida International University. He was born on March 25, 1970. He was the head coach at Norfolk State University earlier. Evans earned his bachelor's degree in 1994 from St. Thomas Aquinas College, where he was a member of the men's basketball team.
Evans led the Spartans to a 21-12 overall record, including a perfect 16-0 mark in MEAC play, but they fell to Bethune-Cookman in the conference tournament opener. Norfolk State was invited to the 2013 NIT after winning the league regular season, and they met Virginia in the first round, losing 67-56.
