Abha Dawesar is an author, artist, and Vanguard's Head of Institutional Marketing Strategy and Planning. She has received several awards, including the American Library Association's Stonewall Award and a Lambda Literary Award. Abha Dawesar was named one of 25 persons who will leave their mark in New York by the weekly magazine Time Out.
Dawesar was designated one of twenty-five trailblazing Indians by India's largest weekly magazine, India Today. She has also been selected by Femina magazine as one of India's 12 outstanding women and by The Hindustan Times as one of the country's Next Big Things. Dawesar received a Fiction Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts in 2000.
