Young Chris, who was born Chris Ries in 1983, and Neef Buck make up the rap group Young Gunz, which is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (born Hanif Muhammad in 1985). Muhammad and Ries had been pals since they were little. The collective is a component of Beanie Sigel's State Property.
The pair appeared in the film State Property and contributed songs to its soundtrack in 2001.
