In rural Arizona over two decades ago, Wendy Piersall was residing in her vehicle. She eventually had $30 to her name and nowhere else to go but the Salvation Army. She went to Chicago a few years later, becoming a single parent and residing in her parents' cellar. At that time, she decided to start her first business.
With no prior entrepreneurial experience, she registered as Luna Art and started producing children's furniture and painting personalized wall murals for clients' homes. Despite the fact that the first business didn't last very long, it helped her regain her confidence and she quickly found herself back on her feet.
