In his career, versatile performer Wayne Knight has successfully portrayed a variety of characters on stage, on the big screen, and on television. The character performer, who was born in Cartersville, Georgia, began his journey after quitting the University of Georgia to join The Barter Theater Company. Here, Knight polished his craft and prepared himself for skillful acting.
After receiving his association card, Knight relocated to New York City in order to perform in the award-winning show Gemini on Broadway. Since then, he has been in a number of additional Broadway productions, including Christina Applegate's Sweet Charity and Mastergate Art. Knight's film career began in 1979 with an uncredited role in The Wanderers.
