Vincent Jamal Staples is a rapper from the Ramona Park area of Long Beach, California. He is a member of the hip hop duo Cutthroat Boyz, alongside Californian rappers Aston Matthews and Joey Fatts. Staples was formerly a close associate of Odd Future, notably Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt.
Currently, he is signed to Blacksmith Records, ARTium Recordings, and Def Jam Recordings. Staples got to prominence with features on Odd Future collections and his collaborative mixtape dubbed Stolen Youth, which he co-created with Mac Miller. In October 2014, he released his first EP Hell Can Wait, which included the tracks Hands Up and Blue Suede.
