Ty Smith is a highly decorated veteran US Navy SEAL who served in the Middle East on several occasions. Smith established CommSafe AI, a technology firm that specializes in conflict and violence avoidance, after 20 years of dedicated and honorable service in the United States Navy.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University as well as a Master of Business Administration for Veterans from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. Smith is on the boards of Ashford University and the University of Arizona Global Campus.
