Tone-Loc, a pioneer of rap in the 1980s, became the second rap group ever to top the Billboard album rankings. The singer used his trademark raspy voice after completing the production of his 1991 follow-up album Cool Hand Loc to gain parts in both TV and movies, including the TV series Roc and the animated science fiction epic Titan A.E.
(2000).
