Tone Bell, who was really born Michael Anthony Bell II in Decatur, Georgia, started out in comedy clubs in Dallas before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy and acting. A few times after his relocation, Tone won the Stand-up NBC Diversity talent competition and agreed to work with the network on development.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar plays Tone's neighbor and best friend in the upcoming NBS comedy "People are Talking," in which Tone also has a starring role.
