In 1984, Tom Levenick earned his journalism degree from The Ohio State University. He played football under Woody Hayes and Earle Bruce at Ohio State and in three bowl games: the Gator Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl. He also competed in the 1989 World Championship of the Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii.
