Prior to appearing on Criminal Minds, Thomas Gibson was well-known for the five years he spent playing Greg in the television series Dharma & Greg, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. Among his other television appearances are the films Raising Waylon and Chicago Hope, both of which he starred in. The Kennedys of Massachusetts, the CBS miniseries Category 6: Day of Destruction, The Inheritance, and Brush with Fate; Beauchamp Day's part in the ground-breaking "Tales of the City" and "More Tales of the City"; Evil Never Dies; A Will of Their Own; "The Monkey King"; and the Network's The Inheritance and Brush with Fate. With a leading part in the epic Far and Away, Gibson made his feature film debut. Since then, he has also acted in Eyes Wide Shut: The Age of Innocence. Among others, "Stardom," "Barcelona Love," "Human Remains," "Sleep with Me," and "Psycho Beach Party." Gibson, a Juilliard alum, had his New York stage debut at the New York Shakespeare Festival in A Map of the World. Leading parts in Joseph Papp's Shakespeare in the Park and Circle in the Square are among his other theatre credits. He performed in a wide range of roles both on and off Broadway for more than ten years.
