The Struts Biography

English rock group The Struts hails from Derby, Derbyshire. Luke Spiller on vocals, Adam Slack on guitar, Jed Elliott on bass, and Gethin Davies on drums make up the band. Jamie Binns, a bassist for Spiller Slack, and Rafe Thomas, a drummer, made comprised the group's initial roster when it was formed in 2009. The Struts are a UK-born band bringing back the sweet and sleazy essence of glam to contemporary rock & roll with their wild swagger and incredibly addictive tunes. The freshly based L.A. four-piece, which previously conquered Europe with achievements like opening for the Rolling Stones in front of 80,000 fans in Paris last year, is now breaking through to American audiences with their electrifying debut EP Have You Heard. The Struts quickly attracted a sizable fan base and began selling out concerts all across Europe, mostly as a result of their dynamic live performance. Along with the Rolling Stones at the Stade de France, the band performed at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2014 with Spiller decked out in a glistening blue cloak designed especially for him by famed designer Zandra Rhodes (who previously dressed Queen's Freddie Mercury and Brian May). The Struts continued to hone their songwriting skills and create new music in the interim, creating a sound that pays homage to their glam heritage while eventually modernizing the genre for a completely new era.
