Valerie Teicher, better known by her stage name Tei Shi, is a vocalist, poet, and maker based in Brooklyn. A member of the shoegaze, unconventional pop, and R&B genres, she released her debut songs and music recordings in 2013 and gave an impromptu live performance at CMJ.
In November 2013, Tei Shi released her debut EP, "Saudade," which Noisey hailed as "a flawless layered piece of art of melodies... beautifully linked vocal circles and shivery sonics." In addition, she released Adder(f)all and a cover of Beyonce's No Angel as two singles in 2014.
