Bluegrass musician Tate Stevens secured a $5 million recording contract with Syco Music and RCA Records Nashville after winning season two of The X Factor in 2012. Stevens returned to Missouri to settle down and raise his small family while working for the city of Belton repairing streets after spending considerable time touring with a band after finishing secondary school. He joined a local bar in 2005 and formed his group in 2008, performing for no charge and showing up on weekends and public holidays. Stevens relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, after winning The X Factor, where he began working on his presenting portfolio. He released his opening song, "Holler If You're With Me," in a Pepsi commercial that aired at the 2013 Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013. Soon later, the full-length music video for the song became live online. About 100 extra things were used in the song's music video, which focused on a vast fire celebration. The official lead single for the album on national radio was the song Power of a Love Song. With 17,000 identical copies sold in its first week, the compilation debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and received positive reviews from critics.
