At Dartmouth College, Susannah Heschel holds the title of Eli Black Professor of Jewish Studies. Her research focuses on the history of biblical study, anti-Semitism, and Jewish-Christian interactions in Germany in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Her works include The Aryan Jesus: Christian Theologians and the Bible in Nazi Germany and Abraham Geiger and the Jewish Jesus (University of Chicago Press), which received a National Jewish Book Award (Princeton University Press). Additionally, she has taught at Case Western Reserve University and Southern Methodist University.
