Dr. Susan Frampton has been the president of a nonprofit membership, consultation, and advocacy organization known as Planetree which works with an increasing network of hospitals and continued care communities around the world to carry out Planetree's broad patient-centered method of care for over a decade.
She has written several publications, including The Patient-Centered Care Improvement Guide, The Long-Term Care Improvement Guide, a series on patient-centered care in The American Journal of Nursing, The International Health Federation Journal, and Putting Patients First, which won the ACHE Hamilton Book of the Year Award in 2004.
