Suheir Hammad is the author of broken sonnets and the recipient of the 2009 Arab American Book Grant for Poetry as well as an American Book Award. Her novels include Born Palestinian Born Black, Drops of This Story, and ZaatarDiva. Her work has been widely adapted for the theatre and anthologized.
