Dr. Steve R. Pieczenik MD Ph.D. is a well-known author of psycho-political spine chillers and the co-creator of the New York Times blockbuster hit book series ""Tom Clancy's Op-Center"" and ""Tom Clancy's Net Force"". He is also one of the most experienced worldwide emergency supervisors and prisoner arbitrators in the world. His publications are based on his twenty years of experience resolving global problems for five US administrations. Dr. Pieczenik received his B.A. from Cornell University, then went on to receive his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College and his Ph.D. in International Relations from M.I.T. He was the first specialist to get a Ph.D. in international relations and the first therapist to serve as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State. He worked as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under four presidents: Nixon, Ford, Carter, and Bush Sr. He was also a Senior Policy Planner under President Reagan. Dr. Pieczenik properly collaborated with and detailed directly to Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger, Cyrus Vance, George Schultz, and James Baker, as well as the individual White Houses. Dr. Pieczenik was conscripted and served in the Vietnam War. He was appointed as a Navy Captain (0-6) in the Public Health Services to head three mental wards at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C., including one for sequential executioners. He was therefore promoted to Rear Admiral (0-7) rank, which he declined since he felt respected enough to serve his country, did not want to take rewards, and desired to return to nonmilitary persons life to pursue his interests as a doctor, business visionary, and writer."
