Stephen Moyer is an English film and television artist and producer best known for his role as vampire Bill Compton in the HBO series True Blood since 2008. In 1993, Moyer made his television debut as Philip Masefield in the TV adaptation of the play Conjugal Rites, written by on-screen character/writer Roger Hall.
In 1997, Moyer made his big-screen debut as the lead in the film adaptation of Hal Foster's long-running humorous cartoon Prince Valiant, alongside Ron Perlman and Katherine Heigl. Moyer was born in Brentwood, Essex. He attended St Martin's School in Hutton, Essex, and then graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
