Stephen Asprinio Biography

Stephen Asprinio has degrees from both the Culinary Institute of America and Cornell University, has completed two sommelier endorsement level courses from the United States Sommelier Association and the Court of Master Sommeliers, and has 10 years of experience working with some of the best restaurants in the country. Stephen's dedication to the specialization of lodging has paved the path for his first named caf Forte di Asprinio, which is located in South Florida. Stephen was mentored by prominent restaurateur Drew Nieporent of the Myriad Restaurant Group, and as a result, he worked at three of Mr. Nieporent's restaurants, including Nobu in New York City, where he trained under Iron Chef Morimoto Masuhara. Stephen moved to Las Vegas after graduating from Cornell University to work as a sommelier at Caesar's Palace. Stephen departed Ceasar's Palace after directing two wine programs there to become the Wine Director at Michael Mina's NobHill at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Stephen has since appeared as a star on Bravo! System's ""Top Chef,"" as well as a guest on ""The Today Show," and has been featured in People Magazine, Forbes Traveler, and the New York Post's ""Page Six"" column."
