Holly Brook Hafermann, better known as Skylar Grey, is a five-time GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has co-written some of the most memorable songs in recent years. Ironically, while away from the music industry and living in a cabin in the woods, she wrote Eminem/Rihanna Love The Way You Lie, which became one of their biggest songs. This prompted Grey to write Dr. Dre I Need A Doctor, which she performed at the 53rd GRAMMY Awards event alongside Dre and Eminem. Diddy's Dirty Money Coming Home, Lupe Fiasco's Words I Never Said, T.I.'s Castle Walls, and, most recently, Kaskade's Room For Happiness (she composed and performed on both versions of the song, which became the album's third single). Her music has topped the Billboard Hot 100 and iTunes sales charts, with over 15 million singles sold worldwide. Grey was born and reared in a small Wisconsin community, and she has been performing since the age of six. She left home as a teenager to pursue a musical career. She not only has one of the most beautiful voices in music, but she also plays over a dozen instruments, including piano and guitar, and is an engineer and producer.
