He was a shy young man who drew instead of talking; it was his release and eventually became a form of communication for him. The difficult working conditions in the fields spurred Silva to attend college, something his father first dismissed. He aspired to be a painter, an artist.

With his family's support, he enrolled in Imperial Valley College, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, in 1986. This is a school known for its rigorous academic load, but Silva's strict background helped him succeed.

Simon Silva's acclaimed artwork has been displayed in several prestigious locations throughout the world. Sim�n Silva is a success in his everyday life as well. He has three boys, Josue, Francisco, and Emilio, and has been married for 23 years. He was trilingual as a child, speaking in English, Spanish, and via art.

He is currently working hard to teach others how to communicate via art. Sim3n Silva now travels around the United States, Mexico, and Canada, teaching educators and students of all ages about Cultivate a Creative Mind workshops. This program enables adults and students to communicate through the artistic ability that exists inside them.

Silva believes that refining your artistic skill allows society to progress in the correct manner through improving communication and problem-solving abilities. Silva reminds seminar attendees that a youngster has no self-imposed communication boundaries or constraints.

A youngster will draw or speak exactly what they are thinking; as we age, we get jaded by public judgment and are critical of our creative skills. As a result, we cease drawing and creating. Silva understood he could utilize his work to communicate himself when he had something vital to say that words alone could not convey.

He wishes to promote the idea that everyone is essential, that all of our lives are vital, that everyone of us has a piece of the answer, and that it is our job to make a difference in the world even if our efforts seem little. All constructive efforts make a positive difference to someone and that is vital.

Sim3n Silva has undertaken this quest to educate people on creative communication because he wishes someone had reached out to him in the same way he is reaching out to others. According to Silva, including creative communication into our everyday life would produce better professionals by making them better communicators and encouraging them to ask the correct questions.

It will also provide people the opportunity to discover who they are, what they feel, and how they think. Sim3n Silva wishes to contribute to the development of a community of critical thinkers and problem solvers in order to effect change in our environment. Sim3n Silva is reviving creativity!
