Shimon Slavin is a professor of medicine and the medical and scientific director of Tel Aviv's International Center for Cell Therapy and Cancer Immunotherapy. Slavin pioneered the use of donor lymphocyte-mediated immunotherapy and novel techniques for stem cell transplantation for the treatment of hematological malignancies and solid tumors, as well as the use of multipotent stem cells for regenerative medicine.
Patients from all over the world are drawn to his creation of innovative techniques based on clinical application of the most modern fundamental science and technologies at the patient bedside. Slavin has four books and over 650 scientific articles to his credit, and he serves on several editorial boards as well as national and international advisory boards.
