Sheryl Underwood is a comedian, actor, and television personality from the United States. She rose to notoriety in the comedy industry after being the first female finalist in the 1989 Miller Lite Comedy Search. Underwood is now one of the anchors of the CBS Daytime talk show The Talk, a position she has held since September 2011.
She joined the military after graduating from college. She rose to prominence after becoming the first female finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. She received the BET Comedy Awards' platinum Mic Viewers Choice Award in 2005 and the BET Comedy Awards' "Funniest Female Comedian on Comic View" award in 1994.
