In 1991, Bailey placed her in touch with attorney Dick Frank, which led to a demo recorded in Nashville with musician and maker Norro Wilson and Mercury Records' A&R administrator Buddy Cannon.

Her performance featured songs written by Mike Reid and Kent Robbins that explored both the terribleness of her parents' loss (they were both killed in a car accident in November 1987) and their musical legacy.

God Ain't Gonna Get You For That, the collection's most excellent song, was the only segment created by the artisan paving the way for more brilliant growth. You're Still The One, a mixed success that peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in May, became an enduring fixture in the US and UK Top 10. From This Moment On, another massive US success was the song that made Shania Twain famous in the UK. It peaked at number 9 in November.
