Sendhil Ramamurthy Biography

In the entertainment industry, Sendhil Ramamurthy is best known for his Heroes and Covert Affairs roles. Ramamurthy was born in Chicago and raised with his sister in San Antonio. His parents are physicians. 1991 saw him graduate from Keystone High School. He first enrolled at Tufts University as a pre-medicine major to follow in his parent's footsteps. Still, after taking an Intro to Act class during his lower year as a requirement for graduation, he became passionate about acting. He changed careers after becoming interested in a few plays, notably Our Country's Good. After graduating, he earned a four-year history certification and then enrolled in the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where he received his degree in 1999. From 2006 through 2010, Ramamurthy played scientist Mohinder Suresh in the popular NBC series Heroes. He also appeared in the USA series Covert Affairs for three seasons as Jai Wilcox. Additionally, he has made appearances in several series, including CSI: Miami, The Office, and Psych.
