For her role as Gloria Mendoza in the Netflix parody series Orange Is the New Black, Cuban-American performer Selenis Leyva is known. Leyva was born in Cuba's Baracoa and raised in the Bronx. She has appeared in many Off-Broadway productions and is of Cuban and Dominican descent.
