Sayed Kashua Biography

Author Sayed Kashua is well-known for his novels and humorous Hebrew articles. Until July 2014, Kashua, a Palestinian Arab, resided in Jerusalem. He wrote five works, including Dancing Arabs. Let it be Second Person Morning Dispatches from an Israeli-Palestinian Life: Unique Exposure. Kashua is the creator and scriptwriter of the satirical TV series Arab Labor and publishes a week-by-week part in the newspaper Ha'aretz. Kashua has received several prestigious awards. Kashua has acknowledged the positive developments in Chicago, Illinois, and plans to relocate there for the 2014–2015 academic year with his significant other and three children. He became interested in the University of Chicago's Creative Writing Project's workshop on bilingualism. He is a clinical instructor in the Israel Studies department at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
