Sara Jean Underwood was born on March 26, 1984, in Portland, Oregon. She was on the volleyball crew in middle school. She moved on from Scappoose High School in Scappoose, Oregon, in 2002. Her first employment was aiding the sales of substantial construction gear. Underwood also did a job as a waitress at Hooters in Beaverton, Oregon.
She went to Oregon State University as a major in Business Marketing. She initially showed up in "Playboy" in the pictorial "The Girls of the Pac 10" in the October 2005 issue (she additionally graced the cover). Underwood was the Playmate of the Month in the July 2006 issue of the renowned men's magazine.
