Sara Hurwitz is an American speechwriter best known for her work with Barack and Michelle Obama. She served as the main speechwriter for Obama's full presidency and contributed to milestone speeches, including his 2008 Democratic National Convention address and Michelle's speech at the 2016 convention.

Hurwitz graduated from Harvard College with a degree in government and later earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2004. She started her career as a lawyer and worked on campaigns for other Democratic Party fixtures, like Hilary Clinton and Al Gore.
