Sandra Fisher-Martins assists Portuguese companies and government organizations make their messages more explicit. After observing a Clear English campaign in England, she was motivated to start Portugues Claro, a consulting and training company that seeks to prevent what she refers to as information apartheid from disenfranchising people.
She claims that because of information apartheid, most of her fellow Portuguese people cannot correctly comprehend the papers they require for everyday life. Therefore, she aims to create Euro-clear, an international credential in effective communication. She quoted Albert Einstein's adage, "If you can't describe it clearly, you don't understand it well enough," in her 2011 TED x O'Porto TED Talk.
