Intel's chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors is Robert (Bob) H. Swan. Swan served as interim CEO for seven months before being elected CEO on January 31, 2019, and was the company's chief financial officer, overseeing Intel's worldwide finance division, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, information technology, and the company's Corporate Strategy Office.
Swan joined Intel in 2016 after serving as an operating partner at General Atlantic LLC, a worldwide growth equity investment firm, where he worked directly with the firm's global portfolio businesses on growth targets. Swan was the CFO of eBay Inc. for nine years until joining General Atlantic in 2015. He was the CFO of Electronic Data Systems Corp.
