Robert Hoffman discovered his passion for dancing after watching Michael Jackson's Thriller. He briefly attended the Alabama School of Fine Arts before starring as Max, a lead dancer in the antagonist's crew, in the 2004 film You Got Served.
Hoffman also appeared in Nick Cannon's Wild 'n Out and guest-starred as Evan Chamber's older brother on the ABC Family shows Greek in 2009. He received a 2008 MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss with co-star Briana Evigan in Step Up 2: The Streets, where he played Chase Collins, a talented dancer at the Maryland School of the Arts.
