Rik Roberts was up in Kentucky, where he worked on tobacco and horse ranches. His desire to be the next Tom Brokaw – or possibly the anchor of Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" – prompted him to pursue a college education. Rik worked for Simon & Schuster in Columbus, Ohio, after graduating from Bethany College with a degree in communications.
In 1992, he joined the "Midwest Comedic Tool & Die," a nationally touring comedy ensemble. Shortly after, he decided to pursue stand-up comedy full-time. He has almost twenty years of experience as a headliner in the United States and internationally.
