Riders in the Sky is an American Western music and comedy group. The group was formed in 1977 by Ranger Doug (Douglas B. Green), Woody Paul (Paul Chrisman), and Too Slim (Fred LaBour).
The group's name was inspired by the Sons of the Pioneers' song "Tumbling Tumbleweeds." Riders in the Sky have recorded more than 15 albums, won two Grammy Awards, and performed on numerous TV shows and in films. They have been featured on the Grand Ole Opry and are known for their Western-themed songs and humorous skits.
