Rick Atkinson is an American author, journalist, and military historian renowned for his meticulously researched narrative histories. He is best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning Liberation Trilogy, which chronicles the European theater of World War II: “An Army at Dawn” (2002), “The Day of Battle” (2007), and “The Guns at Last Light” (2013).
